Hello, my name is My. I’m currently living in Paris, France. Growing up, languages and cultures have consistently been a passion of mine. It started out as a curiosity which encouraged me to bury my head in books and magazines about places in the world, to visit other parts of Vietnam and to learn English. That same interest ultimately led me to choose to become an English teacher. After some time of working as an English teacher in Vietnam, I got a chance to study in Europe, where I could finally meet people from all around the world. The mere exposure with people from diverse cultures in a foreign country fueled my interest and motivation to know more, so I started learning more languages. To me, languages are the key to connecting with people. The more I discovered other languages, the more connected I felt with my friends who speak the languages that I was learning. That led me to think about how to help people who needed English to connect with their friends and family. As a result, I started to give English lessons online. Fortunately, with the knowledge about language learning, language teaching and language acquisition that I have learned throughout my education and my own experience, my lessons received positive feedback from my students. With that mission, I have been creating multiple online English lessons whose curricula have been carefully designed to cater to the specific needs of Vietnamese learners. I understand that online learning has its own features, so I incorporate them in my syllabi as well. I take pride in what we design and the impact that I make with my lessons.
