EXPERIENCE: 11 YEARS

Hello everyone. My name is Patrick Allen. I have been teaching English for more than 10 years now. I am a registered nurse and a licensed Teacher. I have certificates in IT-Programming, English, Banking and finance as well as Fraud and Risk Management. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Management. I specialize in speaking and pronunciation specifically topic-based conversation, general and public speaking and also general or everyday English. I also teach grammar and pattern, vocabulary, writing and reading. I have helped students with standardized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, TEOIC and OPIC. Furthermore, I have a background in teaching career based English for IT, medical, financial and business fields including job preparation and presentation. As a bilingual and second language learner and teacher I understand the struggles and difficulties English learners encounter thus, it enables me to be flexible and simplify subject matters to a learner’s level. Teaching is a passion for me and I certainly enjoy it. I like to have fun in my classes because I believe that we learn most when we enjoy the process. I think learning experience should be enjoyable and interactive. I also love learning about other cultures and hearing stories and intellectual insights of other people. With your effort and commitment and my passion I’m sure we’ll go a long way. That’s it for me and I hope to see you in class.
