Hello, I am Merlin and I am an experienced teacher from the Philippines. I have been teaching for 10 years in the classroom environment and more than 2 years in teaching English online to students both children and adults. I am a licensed professional teacher and hold certificates like TEYL and TESOL. Learning the English language will be very helpful so that you can have bigger opportunities waiting for you and as well be able to connect more to the world. I would be very glad to be part of your journey in learning the language and I’ll do my best to make learning fun and engaging. I believe that one best way to learn the English language is to have frequent times of talking freely using the language until you become comfortable and confident enough in using it. I am a good listener and can make good conversations where we can share and talk about a lot of things. I’m adept at teaching a wide variety of English skills including vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and grammar usage. Prior to my career as an English teacher, I experienced managing my own business and work in the hospitality industry in Singapore which gave me learnings and interesting stories to share. Whether it is for adults or children, I like to make lessons enjoyable, interesting, and informative and am skilled at making students feel comfortable and at ease within the lessons so that they can get the most out of each class. On a personal level, I’m passionate about several subjects including food, business, technology, and travel, to name just a few. All interesting subjects that come in handy if students just want to practice and improve their conversation skills.
