My name is Teacher Myrna, but you can call me “Mena” and I was born and raised her in the Philippines where English is an official language. I’m 50 years old.

I’ve been teaching for more than 18 years, my first experience in ESL was one on one or face to face in an English academy here in the Philippines, and I’ve worked with students from around the world who are not using English as their second language. My background includes planning and teaching lessons to children as well as adults. I can teach Business English, job interview practice, and exam preparations like IELTS speaking, and other competitive exams.

My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a positive and engaging learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves to learn new things.

In my classes, I like to use a variety of teaching methods, including interactive presentations, group discussions, and hands-on activities. Everyone has a unique learning style, and it’s my job to adapt my teaching approach to meet each student’s needs. My goal as a teacher is to help you achieve your academic goals and develop a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

In my class, I work with a lot of creativity and positivity. My interest lies in several topics which I would love to discuss with all of you, and I’m happy to work with learners from any level. See you!
