Hi! My name is Ngan or you can call me Sophia. I hold a BA degree in English teaching and I have taught English in Vietnam for more than three years for varied–aged students with different purposes. I am currently studying for a master degree (MA. TESOL) in the USA in order to strengthen my English as well as my teaching skills. Additionally, I am assisting my professor in teaching academic English writing for native American students, which allows me to observe how native speakers brainstorm, develop and organize ideas for their essays by using critical thinking. Language is a part of culture, so understanding cultural background of a language you are learning is essential. Because it will provide you with a different perspective on the language and allow you to acquire and learn faster. In my class, you are not only improve your English skills, but you also have a chance to know more about Western culture especially American culture, which helps you reach English proficiency and really live the language while your learn. As an English teacher, I always keep in mind that your success is my success, so I will try my best to help you to achieve your English learning goals.
