Hello everyone, my name is Mr. Ian Arguinzoni. I’m 38 years old, a dual national, (British/American) certified educator with over 10 years of teaching experience. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Glasgow University, Scotland, and a Master’s degree in Education (PGCE) from Sunderland University, England. I am currently residing in Glasgow, Scotland, and am looking forward to starting my online teaching journey! As I previously mentioned, I have been a professional teacher for just over 10 years now, and am proud to say this has been the most fulfilling time, career wise, in my life! I began my teaching adventure in Thailand, where I lived and worked for 8 years, in two different international schools. During my time in Thailand, I served as the Head of the English Department at both schools, and was tasked with teaching Conversational English to children between the ages of 6 – 16. After Thailand, the next stop on my teaching journey saw me relocate to Daqing, China, where I was employed as a Senior Foreign Language Instructor, tasked with the responsibility of teaching IGCSE/IELTS courses to students between the ages of 14 – 16. As for my teaching philosophy, well, I’m an ardent believer in the theory of making the learning adventure as fun, stimulating and challenging as possible. Students are able to maximize their learning capacity when they are sufficiently engaged in the lesson, find it interesting, and enjoy the teaching methods utilized by their instructors. Over the course of my lengthy tenure as a full-time educator, I have developed and expanded my skill set, in an effort to provide a suitable, learning conducive environment for each and every student. I consider myself to be a well-rounded individual, and therefore I have a number of different hobbies and interests that I like to pursue and enjoy in my free time. I’m a sports enthusiast, and take a great deal of pleasure from playing football, basketball and golf. I’m an avid traveler as well, and at present count I have visited just over 100 countries in the world! When I’m not playing sports or traveling, I can be found engrossed in a novel of some description, as I absolutely love to read a variety of different books and novels!
